This intriguing museum relates the history of the once-successful steamboat "Arabia" and its watery demise in 1856. On display are more than 200 tons of cargo recovered 132 years after the ship's tragic ruin. Recovered items include china, preserved food such as pickles and fruits, cases of bourbon, hardware, and jewelry. In addition, several bottles of French perfume, scent intact, were found on board ­ it has been reproduced and is available in the gift shop.
